Arlene Lynn Stoler and
Ronald Mark Gottlieb were
married recently at the Bay
Pointe Country Club. Rabbi
Harold Loss and Cantor
Harold Orbach of Temple Is-
rael officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. William A. Stoler
of Farmington Hills. Parents of
the bridegroom are Mrs. Lil-
lian Gottlieb of Harrisburg,
Pa., and the late Mr. David
Gottlieb.

Rhonda Byer was the mat-
ron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Shelly Stoler, Jennifer Kughn,
Cheryl Swain and Debi Lam-
bert.

The best man was Allan
Gottlieb, brother of the brideg-
room, Robert Stoler, brother of
the bride, Joel Hoffman, Barry
Cohen and Elliot Miller.
Following a honeymoon in
Maui, Hawaii, the couple is re-
siding in Chandler, Ariz.

Reform Adult Education
Classes Are Offered

Nineteen classes will be of-
fered when the College of
Jewish Studies begins its fall
semester on Wednesday.
The college is the official
adult education project for all
the Reform congregations of
metropolitan Detroit. The
courses are open to any adult,
whether a temple member or
not.
According to Cantor Nor-
man Rose, dean of the college,
this marks the 20th year of the
College of Jewish Studies.
Classes are taught by rabbis,
cantors, educators and other
professionals in the field of
Jewish education.
Courses include: Beginners,
Intermediate and Conversa-
tional Hebrew; Beginners and
Intermediate Yiddish;
Holocaust I and Holocaust II;
Ancient History of the Jewish
People; Judaism and
Feminism; Jewish Mysticism;
Bio-Ethics; Prophets; Jews in
America (1886-1986); Guide to
The Jewish Year.
Courses entitled "Introduc-
tion to Judaism" are open to
anyone, but are specifically de-

signed to meet the needs of pro-
spective converts to Judaism.
For the fifth year, the college
is working closely with the
Midrasha College of Jewish
Studies.
Classes will meet at Temple
Beth El for 12 Wednesday eve-
nings, and there is a nominal
tuition charge. Registration
for classes will take place at
Temple Beth El on Tuesday
from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
A course in Rabbinic Re-
sponses and Modern Jewish
Problems will also be taught by
Sonia Syme on Thursday and
Modern Jewish Problems will
also be taught by Sonia Syme
on Thursday afternoons at
12:30 p.m. at Temple Beth El,
beginning Thursday.
