David and Helen Schrage

Schrage 50th

Helen and David Schrage,
former Detroiters, of Hallan-
dale, Fla., recently celebrated
their 50th wedding anniver-
sary. Mr. Schrage and the
former Helen Feinberg came
from Lithuania and were mar-
ried here on Jan. 31, 1937.
Mr. Schrage has been a pro-
fessional photographer and a
clothing salesman; Mrs.
Schrage is an artist and a
fifty-five-year member of
Pioneer Women/Naamat. She
also was graduated from the
Midrasha and taught Hebrew
in schools locally and in

Florida.
They were honored at serv-
ices and a kiddush at Beth
Meier Synagogue in Sherman
Oaks, Calif., where they were
given aliyot. They were also
feted at a family dinner given
by their children: Dr. and Mrs.
Alex (Faye) Ullmann of Bloom-
field Hills, Mr. and Mrs. Bob
(JoAnna) Schrage of Valencia,
Calif., and Mr. and Mrs.
Harold (Roselyn) Schrage of
Van Nuys, Calif.; and their five
grandchildren, Marcy and Ste-
ven Kleiff, Jeremy, Andrew
and Matthew Schrage.

Interfaith Body Holds
Meeting For Children

The Greater Detroit Inter-
faith Round Table of the Na-
tional Conference of Chris-
tians and Jews will sponsor its
35th annual "Rearing Chil-
dren of Good Will" conference
at 8 a.m. March 13, at Mercy
College Conference Center.
There is a charge. Pre-
registration is required.
This year's keynote speaker
will be former Detroit Lions
player, Lem Barney, now civic
affairs specialist for Michigan
Consolidated Gas Co.
The conference will consist
of educational topics such as
education/employment, inter-
personal relations, justice and
health. There will be time for
group discussions as well as in-
teracting with individuals of
different races and religions.
The conference is for
eighth-12th grade students as
well as parents, teachers and
the community.
The conference is one of

many programs that the
Greater Detroit Interfaith
Round Table sponsors to pro-
mote better relationships
among persons of all religions,
nationalities and creeds.

People Of Courage
Lecture Theme

Rabbi Sherwin Wine will
begin a series of reviews on the
theme "People of Courage" at
8:30 p.m. Monday at the Bir-
mingham Temple. His first
talk will focus on Voltaire.
There is an admission
charge. A discussion will fol-
low the lecture.
The temple will be the scene
of "An Evening With the
Rabbi" at 8:30 p.m. Wednes-
day. All are invited.
