Jewish Women's
Week Observed

The Lubavitch Women's
organization invites the com-
munity to join in observing the
International Week of the
Jewish Woman, Sunday
through March 8. Lubavitch
women over the globe have
scheduled lectures, demon-
strations, exhibits, and
entertainment throughout the
week.
In Detroit, the week will be
highlighted by a full program
and luncheon on March 8, 10
a.m. at the Lubavitch Educa-
tion Center, 28555 Middlebelt,
Farmington Hills.
After a continental break-
fast, the program begins with a
choice of three workshops
entitled "Life Choices". These
include: "For Our Children: Ef-
fective Parenting - Jewish
Style", "For Our Teens and
Young Adults: Helping Them
Choose Wisely" and "For Our-
selves: The Choice Is Ours —
Marriage, Motherhood and
Career— How to Order our
Priorities."
The workshops will be led by
Frieda Shapiro of New York,
Chaya Sara Silberberg and
Beverly Engelhardt of West
Bloomfield, and Eileen Bor-
sand of Bloomfield Hills.
Lunch will be followed with
an address by Mrs. Shapiro, an
educator and co-author of The
Modern Jewish Woman. Her
topic will be "Choose Life."
There will be a video pre-
sentation entitled Close-Ups in
Courage focusing on the varied
lives and careers of six Chas-
sidic women. There is a charge.
- For reservations and informa-
tion, call Leba Friedman,
