never more than 50 guests
at a time, this hotel will
give you a room in a private -

marvelous secluded beach.
On the terrace of this small,

carved from pink granite.
Taormina is a resort town
on the east coast of Sicily
near Mount Etna, a mere 15
miles to the southwest. To
get to the San Domenico
Palace Hotel, wind your
way up the slopes of Monte
Tauro on the ultimate
hairpin turn road, the
precipitous Via Pirandello.
Built in 1430 as a
monastery, The San
Domenico has 120 rooms
which are surprisingly
large when you realize that
these were actually monks'
cells. Antiques fill the wide
corridors and inviting
lobbies, an oversize pool, a
pair of shadowy cloisters,
gardens scented with
orange and jasmine
blossoms — sheer delirium
at 820 feet above the sea.
GREECE
A trip to the Greek
Islands, one of the most
romantic destinations in
the Mediterranean —
perhaps in all the world, is
every bride's dream.
Honeymooners can try a
cruise preceded by a few
days of sightseeing in
Athens and culminating in
a short stay on the island of
Mykonos.
In the Aegean, Mykonos
is part of the Cyclades,
islands which form a rough
circle around sacred,

coast of Italy near Naples
and Pompeii, comes highly
