Dominating the facility is the re-creation of a camp amphitheater with dirt, potted trees and plants, and seating for over 100 people. Commu- nity events such as song ses- sions, puppet shows, magic acts, and talent shows will be offered at the amphitheater. A ROPES course has been constructed six feet in the air and joined to a treehouse by cables and tires suspended from the ceiling. Participants are strapped into safety har- nesses and wear helmets as they negotiate the course. A huge metal slide, a clatter bridge, and tunnel and tire crawls constitute the playg- round area that is surrounded by a white picket fence. Pioneer crafts such as rope making, candle dipping and pioneer toy construction are also taught by the nature staff.
