Dr. and Mrs. David Jacknow
of Bloomfield Hills are pleased

their daughter, Amy Susan, to
Mr. Lorne Jeffrey Zauberman
of Toronto, Canada, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Marcel Zauberman of
Willowdale, Ontario, Canada.
Miss Jacknow received two
undergraduate degrees from
the University of Michigan
and a master's degree in health
care administration from Duke
University. She has recently
received her CPA certificate.
She is a supervising health
care management consultant
with Plante and Moran.
Mr. Zauberman attended
undergraduate school and was
graduated from law school at
York University in Toronto,
Canada, and has recently com-
pleted graduate work at the
University of Detroit for his
Juris Doctor degree.
A late March wedding is
planned.

their daughter, Laura
Elizabeth, to Jeffrey Lloyd Vic-
tor, son of Jerry and Mala Vic-
tor of Phoenix, Ariz.
Laura is studying elemen-
tary education at Michigan
State University. Jeffrey re-
ceived his law degree with
honors from Cooley Law School
and is an assistant prosecuting
attorney.

Nathan Mayer, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Morris Mayer, also of

Legislature Urged
To Adopt Refusenik

Representative
State
Maxine Berman (D-
Southfield) has introduced a
resolution in the Michigan
legislature asking the legisla-
ture to adopt Soviet Jewish re-
fusenik Mark Tarshis and urg-
ing the Soviet government to
permit his emigration.
Tarshis first applied for an
exit visa in 1979 after which he
lost his position as head of the
laboratory of the department of
biochemistry, medico-
biological faculty of the Second
Moscow Medical Institute. The
exit visa was denied in 1981.
Tarshis, who recently suf-
fered a heart attack, lives in
Moscow with his wife and two
daughters.
