BBYO announces the open-
ing of registration for its
Summer Leadership and
Judaism Programs for 1987.
The International Kallah pro-
gram will run for four weeks,
July 1-28, at the B'nai B'rith
Perlman Camp at Starlight,
Pa. The Kallah program offers
an intensive experience in
Judaism, with plenty of time to
ask questions and explore one's
Jewish identity. Up to 100
BBYOers from throughout the
U.S. and Canada will attend.
The International Leader-
ship Training Conference
(ILTC) is a three-week pro-
gram that runs from July 28
through Aug. 17, also at the
Perlman Camp. At this pro-
gram, Judaism, leadership,
and creative arts are woven to-
gether to develop and expand
one's leadership ability both in
BBYO and in the Jewish com-
munity. Up to 225 BBYOers
will be accepted for this pro-
gram, with delegations from
England, the European conti-
nent, and Israel. Applicants
may opt for either program or
for both for a total of seven
weeks.
The Chapter Leadership
Training Conference (CLTC) is
a two-week program that will
be held at the B'nai B'rith
Beber Camp in Mukwonago,
Wisc. The CLTC program will
be offered in three separate
sessions of 50 participants
each: June 29 through July 12,
July 14-27, and July 29-Aug.
11. CLTC is a program that fo-
cuses on "how-to's", teaching
participants how to plan and
run chapter activities.
Scholarships are available
for all BBYO Summer Pro-
grams, both from the national
organization and from Michi-
gan Region. For information,
contact Arnold J. Weiner,
BBYO director, 350-2760.
Yachad BBG will hold its
annual Beau Dance on Feb. 14
at Shaar Hashomayim
Synagogue, 115 Giles Blvd.,
Windsor, at 8 p.m. The theme
of this year's dance is "A Touch
of Class," and dress is semi-
formal. Attendance may be
dated or single, and refresh-
ments will be served. There is
an admission fee. Supervision
will be provided by chapter ad-
visers Lisa Nosanchuk and
Jackie Putterman. For infor-
mation, call Dinah Gumprich,
(519) 969-9148; or Heather
Cheifetz, (519) 966-5505.
The next BBYO adviser
group meeting will take place
at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at the BBYO
office. A special session for new
advisers will be held directly
following the general meeting.
BBYO announces the ap-
pointment of Steve Weberman
as adviser to Samson AZA and
Aileen Katz as adviser to the
new BBG chapter being formed
in the Farmington Hills-West
Bloomfield area. Other volun-
teer positions are currently
available to advise AZA and
BBG chapters in Metropolitan

Detroit. For AZA, contact Joel
Colman, 350-2760; for BBG
contact Adele Lewin, at the
same number.
Gary Weisserman and
Wendy Goldstein, regional
AZA and BBG presidents, will
be representing Michigan
Region during the week of Feb.
15-19 in Washington, D.C. for
the International AZA and
BBG executive meetings.
