Intermarriage
Workshop Topic

Kim Haveraneck, a psychol-
ogist at Woodcreek Clinic and
consultant for University of
Michigan and Henry Ford
Hospital, will act as facilitator
for "Issues in Intermarriage," a
series of workshops to be held
on Thursdays, at 7:30 p.m. at
the main Jewish Community
Center, beginning next Thurs-
day.
The program will consist of a
panel discussion followed by
refreshments and a question-
and-answer period. The differ-
ent areas to be covered will be:
crisis and conflict facing inter-
faith couples, family relation-
ships in intermarriage and
conflicting cultures and cus-
toms.
There is a fee. For informa-

Southfield Offers
Sport Special

The city of Southfield Tours
presents a family sport special
on Feb. 14.
The first package is the De-
troit Red Wings vs. the New
Jersey Devils, and the bus will
leave at 1 p.m. The second
package is the Detroit Pistons
vs. the Philadelphia 76ers. The
bus will leave at 5 p.m. The
third package is a combination
of both one and two at a special
rate.
All three packages include:
Deluxe motorcoach transpor-
tation, one ticket per event and
a full-course dinner at the
Southfield Hilton.

Health Classes
In Southfield

The Oakland County Health
Division will offer the follow-
ing classes:
Expectant parent classes,
will be held for six Tuesdays,
beginning 7 p.m. Feb. 17.
Blood pressure control
classes will be held for five
Wednesdays, beginning 2 p.m.
Feb. 25.
Diabetes classes for adults
will be held for six Thursdays,
beginning 7 p.m. Feb. 26.
There is no charge for these
classes, to be held at the health
division, 27725 Greenfield,
Southfield. For information
