The Variety Club of Detroit
is a chapter of Variety Club In-
ternational which raises
money for needy children .. .
Over the years, it has provided
money for hospital wings
around the country The
club buys bionic limbs for chil-
dren and provides and pays for
the use of heart and lung
machines and other special
treatment at children's hospi-
tals around the country, in-
cluding Children's Hospital of
Michigan . . . The local club
has pledged to raise $100,000
for needy children in 1987.
