winter fund-raising event has
been scheduled for Feb. 7. Tic-
kets are on sale for You Can't
Take It With You, at the Green-
field Village Theater. Follow-
ing the 8:30 p.m. performance,
the group will enjoy an af-
terglow in the home of Dr. and
Mrs. Arnold Zuroff in Far-
mington Hills.

the popular STEP program
(Systematic Training for Effec-
tive Parenting program). The
brunch will honor mothers of
B'nai and B'not Mitzva, con-
firmants and high school

Refusenik Given
Honorary Title

At a recent board meeting of
the Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah, it was voted to
make Elena Keiss-Kuna, a
member of the Soviet Jewish
refusenik family adopted by

the chapter, an honorary
member of the board.
The family has been waiting
for an exit visa since 1974. De-
nial was based on the nature of
her work as an engineer. Ms.
Keiss-Kuna left that position
in 1975. Applications for emig-
ration to join her family in Is-
rael were repeatedly denied.
Hadassah members have
been sending messages to the
family and contacting Soviet
authorities on its behalf.

Deanne Ginns Gruenberg,
director of education for
Womencare of Southfield, will
speak to Temple Beth El Sis-
terhood on "Communicating
With Your Children and
Grandchildren About Sex," 1
p.m. Feb. 9, at the temple.
Ginns Gruenberg will assist
parents in understanding the
many pressures young people
have today. Sources of misin-
formation will be identified.
Ideas for sharing parental val-
ues and opening lines of com-
munication with children will
be discussed.
The public is invited at no
charge. Dessert will be served.

To Hold Meeting

Friends of Israel Cancer
Association, Hanoar Chapter,
will hold its February meeting,
1 p.m. Wednesday, in the home
