TAN-GO
warmers and sweats. If you
don't, your muscles will be cold
when you get to class and will
be too chilled to relax.
During the warm up you
should be comfortable. As the
workout continues, body tem-
\_nerature can be maintained by
removing the t-shirt/
_sweatshirt, (but not the
leotard!) When the aerobic
workout is finished start layer-
ing up again for the floor work.
A good pair of shoes is essen-
tial in class and protecting the
feet. When coming to class,
wear other shoes and save the
aerobic shoes for class. Snow
and ice covered streets are
salted for safety, but the shoes
pick up the residue and it can
ruin them. Allow extra time for
a warm up, especially early
morning classes. Whether the
exercise room is warm or cold,
) do not throw a coat over a damp
leotard and step in the cold
weather. Change into dry
clothes.
If one type of exercise does
\ not agree with you do not get
/discouraged. There are alter-
native programs. If you like a
) little variety or are afraid of
getting bored, combine a few
aerobic exercises for a well
rounded fitness program.
Each week in this col-
umn, The Jewish News
will print a locally-
produced feature for
singles dealing with
food, fitness or finance.
Next week's feature
