Israel Bond international
campaign chairman David B.
Hermelin of Birmingham has
announced that 1986 was the
most productive year for State
of Israel Bonds world-wide
since the inception of the pro-

The same held true for Metro
Detroit where local cash collec-

lion in Israel Bond subscrip-
tions for 1986, a 14 percent in-
crease over 1985.
Internationally, $603 mil-

$98 million over 1985 sales and
close to $200 million more than
1984 sales.
Detroit's figures were an-
nounced last week. Local
Women's Division chairman
Barbara Stollman reported an
increase of 59 percent over
1985, raising $1,002,000 in

$163,000 over 1985. Attorneys
Division co-chairmen Saul
Bluestone and Sheldon L. Mil -

ler announced a sales figure of
$937,000.
The fledging New Leader-

$507,750 to Israel's economic
development program. Co-
chairmen are Donald Wagner
and Lawrence A. Wolfe.
Douglas A. Schubot, general
chairman of Metro Detroit Is-
rael Bonds, said the
Synagogues Division chaired
by Max Sosin raised
$10,930,000 in cash as a result
of Israel Bond dinners and
High Holy Day Appeals last
year. The Synagogues Division
raised $7,817,000 in- 1985.
Irving Laker, local chairman
of the Israel Bond Prime
