Men's Shabbat
At Temple

Dennis L. Gibson, Jr. will
speak at Temple Emanu-El's
annual Brotherhood Shabbat
services on January 30 at 8:15
p.m., announces Jerry Rosen-
feld, Brotherhood president.
Gibson is the executive di-
rector of the Metropolitan De-
troit Youth Foundation. He
has worked in private industry
and has taught on the college
level. He also serves on many
boards of directors, including
the board of trustees of Henry
Ford Hospital, of which he is
chairman.
Gibson has received political
appointments from three
mayors of Detroit, one gover-
nor of Michigan, and two
Presidents of the United
States.
He will speak on: "Dr. Mar-
tin Luther King, Jr.: Jews and
Blacks and Our Youth."
There is no charge for the
service, and the public is in-
vited.

service honoring the creative
talents of members of the tern-

The celebration will include
musicians Gary Brode and
Amy Forman; Dance and Pan-
tomine by Catherine Licth-
man, Ada Bandalene and
Claire Levine; dramatic
dialogue by Yolanda Fleischer
and Sunny Schwartz, and spe-
cial guest Judith Goren read-
ing her original poetry.
The program is coordinated
by Creative Director, Marilyn
Rowens. There will be a special
afterglow following the serv-
