Greater Detroit Chapter of Hadassah

invites you to join us for an afternoon
of musical delight
starring

Doris Chandler, Program
V.P. and Kathy Sklar, HIES
Chairperson, announce that
the proceeds from the January
20 concert, will be used to es-
tablish a Detroit Chapter
Hadassah Scholarship
Fund, which will enable an Is-
raeli student to further his
education at one of the trifold
educational network spon-
sored by Hadsssah in Israel:
Hadassah Community Col-
lege, Hadassah Vocational
Guidance Institute and the
Hadassah Seligsberg-Brandeis
Comprehensive High School.
Since 1943 Hadassah has
aided those needing an educa-
tional 'break,' thus helping
them to become skilled and
useful working members of
their communities.

arship Fund, or purchase
tickets, please call the

HEALTH CONSCIOUS
HADASSAH DROPS
CIGARETTE ADS!

Beginning January '87, the
HADASSAH Magazine will
no longer carry advertising
for cigarettes, even though it
will mean a sharp decline in
advertising revenue. In recent
years the magazine's readers
have grown increasingly vocal
on the question of smoking
linked to lung cancer and other
lung and heart diseases.
For 75 years HADASSAH
has been committed to healing
and to the prevention of dis-
ease. The continued presence
of tobacco advertising in an
Hadassah National publica-
tion is felt to be inconsistent
with the Organization's mis-
sion and philosophy.

HADASSAH
THANKS YOU
