JNF Women Project Gets
Boost From Kolodneys
The Women of Jewish Na-
tional Fund undertook a
$250,000 project at their Dec. 9
donor — a sports field and
landscaping at the Beit Bluma
School for Girls in Petach Tik-
vah. This project will enable
hundreds of socio-economically
deprived teenage girls to par-
ticipate in sports activities.
Mrs. Edith Kolodney, a
long-time supporter of JNF,
has joined the project as a
partner with the women. The
project will be known as the
Isadore and Edith Kolodney
and Women of JNF of Greater
Detroit Sports Field and Land-
scaping Project.
Mr. Kolodney died in De-
cember 1985. Until his pass-
ing, he was actively involved
with the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign and Cong. Shaarey
Zedek. He was enrolled as an
associate member of the trus-
tees of Brandeis University
and received the Allied Jewish
Campaign community service
award in 1964. The Kolodney
Family has been associated
with Cong. Shaarey Zedek and
its Beit Hayaled was estab-
lished in their names.
Mrs. Kolodney has long been
a supporter of the Women of
JNF. She has also been affil-
iated with American Red
Magen David for Israel and the
Zionist Organization of De-
troit.
The Kolodney's established
a forest of 10,000 trees in Israel
through the JNF.

lishing projects in Israel, call
