As usual, most restaurants
and nite clubs will have their
fun festivities for merrymak-
ers who want the excuse to
make whoopee ... Especially
if 1986 wasn't too good a year
... kicking the old geezer in
his butt and kissing Baby '87
will be an optimistically
happy one ... But it's still
the occasion of occasions ...
and the night of nights.
Prices haven't changed
much from last year ... even
though costs have gone up

empty seats ... and this is
good thinking ... The more
fun people have ... more apt
they are to remember and
come back other times during
the year.
Most of the spots have var-
ied seatings ... with party
favors at the last one ...
Hotels continue their variety
of packages ... and in some
instances are a major bet ...
especially if drinking and
very wisely wanting a place
to stay over ... Better to stay
and nurse the hangover with
continental breakfast or
brunch before taking to the
road.
House parties are always a
ball ... but cleaning up af-
terwards is usually more of a
headache than that hangover
... let the nitery and club
owners do all your dirty work
... they're geared for New
Year's Eve celebrations.
