Named Conductor
Nathan Gordon has been
appointed conductor of the
Southfield Symphony Or-
chestra for the 1986-1987
concert season.
A violist, Gordon was prin-
cipal violist with the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra for 27
years. He founded the Dear-
born Symphony and was its
conductor for 25 years.
He is on the faculties of the
University of Michigan,
Bowling Green State Univer-
sity and Wayne State Uni-
versity.
