Rudin 50th
Belle and Sam Rudin of
Southfield will celebrate their
50th wedding anniversary at
the Four Seasons Hotel in
Toronto, Ont., where they
will be guests of honor at a
party hosted by their children
and grandchildren, Dr. and
Mrs. Neil Rudin, and Mark,
all of Buffalo, N.Y.
The Rudins are members of
Cong. Beth Achim, B'nai
B'rith, the Hannah Schloss
Old. Timers and the South-
field Senior Club. Mrs. Rudin
is a member of Hadassah.
They were married Nov.
22, 1936, at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
Crime Prevention
Topic Of Forum
"Partners in Crime Preven-
tion," an open public forum
created to address the grow-
ing national crime problem,
will be held on Monday at 7
p.m. in the Southfield Civic
Center Pavilion.
Focusing on crime preven-
tion, the forum is being coor-
dinated by a committee ap-
pointed by Southfield Mayor
Donald Fracassi which in-
cludes Elliott Trumbull,
Heidi Press and Eli Master.
Speakers will represent 10
different segments of the
community.
Speakers for the forum will
include Joe Lapides (senior
adults); Alyssa Martina
(women's groups); Southfield
Chamber of Commerce
President Phil Meagher
(businesses); Southfield Pub-
lic Safety Director Jerry
Tobin (public safety); South-
field Public Schools Superin-
tendent Carl Hassel (schools);
Mark Schlussel (homeow-
ners); Barbara Consilio
(courts); Al Kuhnle (religious
groups); WJBK-TV (Channel
2) Director of Community Af-
fairs Tom Fox (communica-
tions), as well as a student
representative. Fox also will
serve as master of ceremonies
for the event.

Seeks Volunteers
The South
Oakland
regional office of the Ameri-
can Red Cross needs 30
people to help out on blood-
mobiles in the community.
These volunteers would regis-
ter donors, label blood collec-
tion containers and serve re-
freshments. Groups of people
can volunteer to staff an
entire blood drive.
Individuals who are in-
terested in becoming a volun-
teer, or who would like more
