Gubow (D-Huntington Woods) has been appointed to the newly formed coalition of Michigan Public Officials for Soviet Jewry. The non-partisan coalition, chaired by Gov. James Blan- chard, is made up of public officials from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of state and local government. Michigan Public Officials for Soviet Jewry was formed to call attention to the plight of Soviet Jews, and to offer official support for their ef- forts to obtain freedom and justice in the Soviet Union.
