School.
Senator Paul Simon, (D-
Ill.), will speak about his
meetings with refuseniks
during four trips to the
Soviet Union.
The commitment of Sen.
Simon is evident in his read-
ing of a statement on the Se-
nate floor every day since
March regarding long-term
refuseniks Naum and Inna
Meiman. He served as Senate
co-chair of the Congressional
Vigil for Soviet Jewry held in
June and has written numer-
ous "Dear Colleague" letters
on behalf of refuseniks.
A Congressman since 1974,
Sen. Simon is active on the
issue of divided spouses and
has received the Chicago Ac-
tion for Soviet Jewry Award
recognizing his activities.
The 1986 Human Rights
Plea for Soviet Jews is a
community event and there is
no admission charge.
