at the public meeting of the
Detroit Chapter, American
Technion Society, on heart
transplants on Thursday at
7:45 p.m at the main United
Hebrew Schools building.
Moderator of the program
will be Bernard J. Cantor,
board member of the Detroit
Chapter.
Dr. Kantrowitz is professor
of surgery, Wayne State Uni-
versity College of Medicine, -
and chief, Section of Car-
diovascular Surgery, Sinai
Hospital. He is the author or
co-author of nearly 200 arti-
cles published in medical
journals. He has been
granted five U.S. patents for
medical devices.
The public is invited. There

Noted genealogist and
author Dr. Neil Rosenstein
will discuss his recent trip to
Poland at the next meeting of
the Jewish Genealogical
Society of Michigan.
The group will gather at 8
p.m. Thursday at the Jewish
Community Center. The pub-
lic is invited at no charge.
Dr. Rosenstein, founder
and first president of the
Jewish Genealogical Society
of New York, will highlight
his presentation with slides
and a video taken during his
summer in Poland.
Dr. Rosenstein is author of
The Unbroken Chain: These
are the Generations, co-author
of Latter Day Leaders, Sages
and Scholars, the Feast and
the Fast and is director of the
Computer Center for Jewish
Genealogy.
