Bloomfield.
Joel will twin his bar
mitzvah with Mikhail
Putelov of Moscow. Mikhail
is the son of Valery and
Sophia Putelov. Putelov is an
engineer and his wife is a
pharmacist. Mikhail has a
brother, Alexander. They
have been trying to emigrate
since 1978.

A native of Wilmington,
Delaware, Cohen will present
a program finding its origins
in both American and Yid-
dish culture.
Honored at the event will
be Drs. William Leuchter, Sol
Luft and Myron Magen,
recipients-elect of State of Is-
rael Maimonides Awards for
their support of Israel's eco-
nomic development program
and their communal leader-
ship. Division and dinner
chairman is Dr. Arthur
Lieberman, dinner co-
chairmen are Drs. Mathew
Borovoy, Joel Leib and Her-
shel Sandberg.
