Vorspan Will Keynote Reform Parley Here Dr. Mark Rubinstein, a board certified ophthalmologist, is now a member of the Michigan Eye Institute, where he will continue his work in the diagnosis and treatment of eye problems such as cataracts, glaucoma ; diabetic eye diseases, and plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and a member of the American Medical Association and Michigan State Medical Society. Vorspan, who is also direc- tor of Reform Judaism's Commission on Social Action, will address delegates to the conference and members of the local Reform community tonight at Sabbath services at Temple Beth El. His topic, "Strengthening -> Judaism," is also the theme of the weekend conference, which will include meetings with national leaders, work- shops and seminars. Vorspan, the author of sev- eral books, has published two volumes recently, Great Jewish Debates and Dilem- mas and Searching the Prophets for Value, the latter of which was co-authored with Rabbi Balfour Brickner. He has been a leading par- ticipant in the civil rights -\ struggle, the nuclear peace movement and interfaith ac- tivities. In 1984, he was the recipient of the Allard Low- ='\ enstein Memorial Award given by the American Jewish Congress "for contri- butions to social justice and human rights."
