/ Fisher were married recently
at Temple Israel. Rabbi M.
Robert Syme and Cantor
Harold Orbach of Temple Is-
_ rael and Cantor Larry Vieder
of Adat Shalom Synagogue
officiated.
The bride is the daughter
7 of Don and Lenore Klein of
Southfield. Parents of the
bridegroom are Arnie and
Lorraine Fisher, also of
Southfield.
Janice Klein was the maid
of honor. Bridesmaids were

Carol Vieder, Karen Zucker,
Gayle Moyer and Martha
Juelich.

.The best man was Jay
Fisher. Ushers were: Steven
Klein, Sandy Vieder, Neil
Blavin, Alan Simons, Brad
White and Stephen Jacobson.
Rachel Scheinfield was the
flower girl; Jordan Schein-
field was the ring bearer.
Following a honeymoon in
Banff and Vancouver, the
couple is residing in Far-
mington Hills.

man of Livonia will be hon-

Congregation at its annual
Chai Dinner on Sunday at
6:30 p.m. at the synagogue.
The Schermans will be
honored for "contributing an
abundance of time and

• energy to the synagogue and
• to the community."
Mrs. Scherman has been a
school room mother, a
= member of the Livonia School
Board Advisory Council, a
`, Scout leader, a United
Synagogue Youth co-leader, a
fund raiser and volunteer for
Livonia Jewish Congregation
activities and has held the
• post of the community serv-
ices director of the synagogue
/
for ten years. She also is the
synagogue's publicity chair-
man.
She has served as corre-
/3
sponding secretary on the
synagogue board for two
terms and as recording secre-
tary for two terms. Mrs.
Scherman currently is a
four-year trustee on the
board.

She also has been active in
the sisterhood as recording
secretary and first vice
president.
Her husband also has been
active as a Scout leader and
has been an adviser to the
USY. He also is active in
synagogue fund raisings.
The dinner will include
entertainment by "The Three
Entertainers." Reservations
are being taken by Sarah
Smith, 474-5557; and Marvin
Smith, 425-7039.

Cancer Fund
Seeks Volunteers

The Michigan Cancer
Foundation needs volunteers
for the new Telephone Reas-
surance Program. Volunteers
will be trained to listen to
and give reassurance to
cancer patients, family mem-
bers and loved ones over the
telephone.
