Friday, October 31, 1986 THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Arab-Jewish Dialogue At WSU Walid Mulah and Ronny Brawer are scheduled to speak at Wayne State Uni- versity on Thursday at noon. There is no charge. Their appearance at Wayne State University is part of a nation-wide tofr for the two, organized by the Progressive Zionist Caucus. At WSU, they are sponsored by the B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda- tion. The topic of the discus- sion is "The Efforts Towards Arab-Jewish Reconciliation in Israel and elsewhere." Mulah is coordinator of the Arab-Jewish dialogue groups at the Institute for Education for Co-Existence between Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem. He also works as assistant evaluator for the Arab-Jewish dialogue groups sponsored by the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem. In the past, he has worked for Neve Shalom, the Insti- tute for Arab-Jewish Recon- ciliation, doing leadership training at the bi-cultural in- stitute and speaking for the institute in Germany and elsewhere. Mulah has a B.A. degree in philosophy and Middle East studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Brawer is employed as a research assistant at the City University of New York, from which he received his M.B.A. degree in International Busi- ness, He also studied at the State University of New York at Albany and at Tel Aviv University. He is a founding member of the Progressive Zionist Caucus. He has served as the chairman of the Hillel Stu- dents for Israel at SUNY- Albany, and has worked with the kibbutz movement and the Labor Zionist youth.
