Nikolai Lemberg, flautist,
and Vladimir Leyetchkiss,
pianist, will perform a pro-
gram of Russian masterpieces
at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at. the
Birmingham Temple, as part
of the temple's Vivace series.
The series is beginning its
11th season.
Lemberg has studied and
was an assistant professor at
the Moscow Conservatory be-
fore immigrating to the U.S.
He was principal flute of the
Moscow Opera Orchestra as
well as the Moscow Radio
and Television Orchestra. He
has won first place in flute in
two international music
competitions: one in West Be-
rlin, Germany and the other
in Havana, Cuba.
Leyetchkiss emigrated to
the U.S. in the mid '70s with
a background in piano and
piano transcription. His first
U.S. album is entitled Vla-
dimir Leyetchkiss and con-
sists of Russian piano music.

Folktown Has
`Twofer Concert'

The Folktown Coffee house
of Southfield will present its
first Twofer Concert at 8 p.m.
Saturday in the Southfield
Parks and Recreation Build-
ing.
The concert will feature
Maxton Bay, a trio from Ann
Arbor, which specializes in
folk, blues, bluegrass, Irish
and original tunes, and Carla
Sciaky of Denver, who per-
forms British folk ballads,
fiddle music from Scan-
dinavia and Eastern Europe
and medieval tunes.
There is an admission

Arts Foundation
Hosts Evening

The Arts Foundation of
Michigan (AFM) will present
an evening at the Fisher
Theater, "Backstage at My
Fair Lady," featuring the
Michigan Opera Theatre's
dress rehearsal performance
of "My Fair Lady" on Nov.
11.
Cocktails and dinner start
at 5:30 p.m. in the Fisher
Building's Recess Club. They
will be followed by a 7:30
p.m. curtain. Michigan Opera
Theatre general .director
David DiChiera will intro-
duce the performance. Tickets

Hosts 'Snow White'

"Walt Disney's Snow White
On Ice" premieres on Nov. 11
at the Joe Louis Arena for
