Hearing Devices
Donated To Sinai

The audiology service at
Sinai Hospital of Detroit has
received a gift of 50 assistive
listening devices from the
Greater Detroit Section of the
National Council of Jewish
Women. These devices will be
used by hearing-impaired
patients throughout their
stay at Sinai.
Sinai was the organiza-
tion's first choice as a site for
the donations, says Terran
Leemis, president of the
Greater Detroit Section, be-
cause "of our shared com-
mitment to the Jewish com-
munity."
According to Leemis, senior
citizens are one of the organ-
ization's top priorities. "We
felt that a project to help the
hearing-impaired would also
benefit the elderly," she says,
"because they make up a
large portion of the hearing-
impaired population."

Naftaly Elected

Robert H. Naftaly, director
