Cathy Deutchman and
Lawrence Berry, members of
the Detroit Technion 2000
Executive Committee, will
present a short update on its
activities, both nationally
and locally at the 38th an-
nual dinner of the Detroit
Chapter, American Technion
Society.
The dinner will take place
at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 30 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Technion 2000 is a group of
young men and women, who
are committed to the contin-
ued growth of Israel through
support of Technion, Israel
Institute of Technology.
Technion 2000's outreach,
both locally and nationally, is
achieved through social, edu-
cational and fund-raising
programs and innovative au-
diovisual presentations 6n Is-
rael and Technion.
Deutchman is the grand-
daughter of Samuel and
Anna Brody and daughter of
Robert and Rhea Brody. This
family has been actively in-
volved in Technion for over
40 years.
. Berry is following Louis &
Harold as the third genera-
tion of the Berry family's
active leadership in the local
Jewish community as well as
supporters of Israel and
Technion.
The Technion 2000 Execu-
tive Committee members are:
Berry, Gerald Brody,
Deutchman, James Deutch-
man, Michael Egren, Mark
Milgrom, Morton Noveck,
Geoffrey Orley, Richard
Rosenhaus, James Safran.
