former local jeweler, is enjoy-
ing his retirement so much in
Murietta, Calif. that he went
out recently and shot a holt-
in-one ... It was on the ninth
hole at Sun City Country
Club with wife Bertha sign-
ing the official score card.
Son Sheldon Weinstein of
Weinstein Jewelers in Sterl-
ing Heights, also reports that
hole-in-one or not, it still is a
tossup between golf and fish-
ing as to which the retired
Fred enjoys more.
Also, says Shel, whose wife
Marcie works with him, a
new synagogue has been
built within walking distance
for Fred and Bertha ... Can-
tor Simon Bermanis, formerly
of Cong. Beth Achim here, is
spiritual warbler there.
