North Farmington High School's
football team is off to a strong start
this year, bouncing back from a
sub-par 1985.
The Raiders also boast one of
the state's most prominent running
backs in Scott Selzer, who gained
more than 700 yards rushing during
the first five games.
Standing in the shadow of Selzer
in the North Farmington backfield is

"Defensive Standout Award" in the
Raiders 9-7 victory over arch-rival
Westland John - Glenn.

back since he started playing foot-
ball at the age of ten. As a North
Farmington freshman three years
ago, Demeter, was elevated to the
junior varsity squad and began to
play in the defensive secondary for
the first time.
"I played a lot, so I didn't mind
playing defense," said Demeter. But
I still like running with the ball bet-
ter." Since his arrival at the varsity
level last season, he has received
