JP! Celebrates
Succot Holiday

The Jewish Parents Insti-
tute, a secular Jewish organ-
ization affiliated with the
Jewish Community Center,
will have its annual Succot
celebration on Oct. 19 at 11
a.m. at Camp Maas in Orton-
ville.
JPI will build and decorate
its succah. Bring a picnic
lunch and participate in Is-
raeli singing and dancing.

Sinai To Exhibit
`Birth Project'

The Birth Project, a collec-
tion of 100 art works by ar-
tist Judy Chicago depicting
various stages of the birth
process, will be exhibited at
Sinai Hospital beginning
May 4.
The works, created using
needlepoint techniques, were
executed by 150 volunteer
needleworkers, including
three from Michigan.

Fulbright Winner

Alan S. Miller, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph Miller of
Birmingham, has been
awarded a Fulbright schol-
arship to Japan to study
Japanese environmental pol-
icy.
Miller was previously
awarded a Fulbright Schol-
arship to McQuarie Univer-
sity in Sydney, Australia, in
1977, to look at legal aspects
of solar energy.
