Deux Cheminees is re- miniscent of a fine old Philadelphia home and spe- cializes in French classics. Dinardo's Famous Crabs and Dockside Fish Company are popular with local seafood lovers. The Fountain in the Four Seasons Hotel is ranked among the city's finest res- taurants. Harry's Bar and Grill, named for the restaurant in Venice, features pastas and a variety of Italian dishes along with prime steaks, game and fresh fish. Hu-Nana is Philadelphia's grand, deluxe Chinese res- taurant and serves imagina- tive food from all of China's regions. Chinese chefs on their day off eat at Lee How Fook and enjoy Peking duck, salt cooked shrimp and lemon chicken. Morton's of Chicago spe- cializes in prime steaks. Cus- tomers are shown pre-cooked live lobsters, hunks of beef, veal or lamb. Reading Terminal Market, opened in 1893, features stands serving locally-made ice cream, Philadelphia cheese steaks and chocolate chip cookies. Ristorante Gaetano is a historically certified Philadelphia townhouse with a regular five-course meal at fixed prices of $32 or $25. The Northern Italian dishes include pastas, veal and classic desserts. Oyster houses in Philadel- phia were a tradition a gen- eration ago. Sansom Street Oyster Houses is owned by a descendant. Tables are shared here. Tang Yean features Chinese health food. Beef and pork aren't served here and dishes aren't loaded with MSG and salt. Chicken and seafood are the order of the day. In tiny Pittsburgh, more new restaurants per capita have opened in recent years than in any other city in the nation. Pittsburgh is cut up into distinct neighborhoods but most restaurants can be reached in no more than 15 minutes from downtown. Cafe Azure near- the Car- negie Institute is casual and offers mostly French food at reasonable prices. Christophers is Mt. Wash- ington's most elegant restau- rant. Most dishes are cooked tableside including veal romano and chateaubriand. Mt. Washington is a 1,200 foot cliff looming over downtown. A cable car climbs the cliff. Cliffside is another Mt. Washington restaurant with good seafood and a first class view. At the Colony in Greentree you get tremendous steaks cooked to order on the grill.
