New Singles
Group Forming

B'nai B'rith is forming a
new singles group aimed at
persons age 30-45 years, and
with an emphasis on new
"healthy attitudes" life style,
it was announced by Ralph
Miller, District 6 membership
co-chairman.
Heidi Coffman has been
named acting president of the
group, which will have its
first meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday at the Franklin
Racquet Club.

Young Zionists
Plan Meeting

Detroit Young Zionists, a
newly formed organization of
young professionals affiliated
with the Zionist Organization
of America, will hold an
opening dinner-meeting
Thursday at 7 p.m. at the
Blue Nile (Ethiopian) Res-
taurant, in. Trapper's Alley
(fourth floor), Greektown.

Jack Edelstein, president of
the Michigan Association for
Ethiopian Jews, who recently
returned from Ethiopia, will
present slides and commen-
tary of his trip, focusing on
the plight of one typical
Ethiopian Jewish family.
There is a charge. Part of the
proceeds will be earmarked
for the rescue of an Ethiopian
Jewish family.

Scrabble Club

A drop-in Scrabble group
has been formed at the
Jewish Community Center
for persons age 50 years or
older. All levels are welcome.
Players will be paired accord-
ingly. The group will meet in
members' homes.

Group To Begin

Community Network for
Jewish Singles announces the
formation of a singles card
and board games group for
men and women age 30-40.
Participants are required to
answer a questionnaire. The

Cancer Workshop

Providence Hospital will
hold a series of workshops to
help women cancer patients
receiving chemotherapy or
radiation, to enhance their
appearance. The workshops
will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 24
and Nov. 21 at the Provi-
dence Medical Building, con-
ference.room 8C. There is no
charge.
