ple Israel on Sept. 19.
She twinned her bat
mitzvah with Malika Mulaev,
daughter of Abram ad Irina
Mulaev, of Moscow, U.S.S.R.
The Jonas family has been
trying to reach Malika and
her parents. They also wrote
to their Israeli relatives.

The Oakland County
Health Division will offer a
series of blood pressure con-
trol classes to residents of
Oakland County, at 2 p.m.
Wednesday and Oct. 15, 22
and 29 at the Oakland
County Health Division's
south office, 27725 Green-
field, Southfield. Classes are
free.
A series of six diabetes
classes will be held at 7 p.m.
Thursday evenings, begin-
ning Oct. 16. Classes will be
held at the Maple/Drake
Jewish Community Center.
There is no fee, but those in-
terested should pre-register.
For information on either
class, call the health depart-
ment, 424-7024.

cent winner in a juried ex-
hibition of embroidery. The
show was part of Con-
vergence '86, a gathering of
fiber artists from around the
world.
