Dr. Herbert Hochhauser

Dr. Herbert Hochhauser,
director of ethnic heritage
programs, director of the
Jewish studies program and
associate professor, depart-
ment of Germanic and Slavic
languages and literature at
Kent State University, will
deliver the third lecture,
"Buchenwald Revisited," in
the Holocaust Memorial Cen-
ter's fall lecture series on
Wednesday at 8 p.m. The
program will be held in the
studio theater of the main
Jewish Community Center.
Hochhauser has published
extensively in the area of
Jewish studies at the college
level. His essay, Switzerland
and the Holocaust, will ap-
pear in Essays on the
Holocaust, Kent State Uni-
versity Press.
He was the project coor-
dinator for the Holocaust
documentary, From Ashes
and Dust, which was shown
via PBS in 1982 and co-
producer of Robert Clary: a
Memoir of Liberation. The
latter documentary received
an Emmy Award from the
National Association of Tele-
vision Arts and Sciences and
will be screened with the lec-
ture.
The public is invited, and
there is no charge. The build-
ing is wheelchair accessible.

HMC Election
At Annual Meeting

The third annual meeting
of the Holocaust Memorial
Center membership will be
held on Thursday at 8 p.m. in
the studio theatre of the
Jewish Community Center.
The agenda will include
the election and re-election of
members to the Holocaust
Memorial Center's board of
directors.
Nominated for three-year
terms are: Eugene
Applebaum, Michael Arlow,
Dennis B. Deutsch, Samuel
Frankel, Salek Lessman, Sam
Nivy, Jack A. Robinson,
Aaron Salzberg, Dr. Guy
Stern, George Vine and Jack
Waksberg. Lessman and
Robinson are candidates for
re-election.
