Yuvall Fichman, Israeli- born Canadian pianist, and Ian Swenson, 23-year-old American violinist, will per- form. This concert honors the memory of Miriam Meckler, who died in November 1985. During her long association with the Music Study Club, Mrs. Meckler served in numerous capacities. For 30 years, she was instrumental in bringing about the annual artist concerts. A long-time piano teacher, Mrs. Meckler was interested in the educa- tion of young musicians. Proceeds from the concert provide scholarships for young musicians, professional concert appearances for gifted young artists; scholarships and musical instruments for Israel.
