Jewish Family Service will
start its seventh program as-
sisting the relatives as their
loved ones grow older.
Sessions will include the
discussion and presentation
of information, a sharing of
experiences by group mem-
bers, and a general explora-
tion of the feelings involved
in the care of and concern for
the elderly person. The group
will address itself to many of
the stresses experienced by
the relatives of aging people,
including dealing with the
strains of helping their loved
ones maintain an indepen-
dent life style, or finding and
working through alternative
arrangements when indepen-
dence is no longer possible.
The Relatives of the El-
derly Group will meet for six
sessions beginning Oct. 15 at
7 p.m. at the Jewish Family
Service, 24123 Greenfield,
Southfield.
A fee will be charged.
There is an additional fee if
extra members of the same
family wish to attend.

Hilbert Sosin of West
Bloomfield received a special
award at the recent Myas-
thenia Gravis Association's
annual meeting.
Sosin was honored "for his
outstanding service" as a
member of the board of direc-
tors since 1962. In addition to
his donation of time and serv-
ice to the local chapter, Hil-
bert is currently vice
president-chief fiscal officer of
the National MG Foundation
located in White Plains, N.Y.
