Detroit Chapter of the
American Society for
Technion-Israel Institute of
Technology will take place at
6:15 p.m. October 30 at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Irwin Green, community
leader, will be the dinner
chairman. Dr. Epel will give
an update on Technion activi-
ties.
In recent years the local
chapter's projects included
the Maas Michigan Dormit-
ory on the Technion campus
in Haifa, the Detroit Student
Aid Fund, academic chairs,
academic lectureship funds
and individual research
funds. Plans are to launch a
new chapter program for rais-
ing funds for advanced re-
search on the Technion cam-
pus.

Workshop Held

The babysitting workshop
will be held at 9:30 a.m. Oct.
25, in the Marcotte Room of
the Southfield Public Library.
The babysitting workshop
is for teens currently in
grades six through 12 who
live in or attend school in
