interest-free loans since 1895. In
1930, the HFLA offices were
located at Clairmount and 12th
Street.

Young Jews meet at the Young
Women's Hebrew Association

89 Rowena Street, sometime in
the late 1920s. In 1933, the
YWHA merged with the Jewish
Centers Association to form the
Jewish Community Center of
