Underground
Vows Revenge
On Terrorists

Paris (JTA) — Leaflets have
appeared here following the
massacre of 21 Jews in the
Istanbul synagogue purport-
ing to be from a Jewish ter-
rorist underground. Accord-
ing to a report in the French
daily Le Quotidien de Paris,
the fliers, inscribed "Thrror
Neged Thrror" (Hebrew for
"'Terror Against 'Terror"), ap-
peared last Monday following
the carnage in the Ilirkish
capital.
The fliers, depicted in the
newspaper, read, "Following
the attack in Istanbul, one
responsible person of the
PLO will be executed within
the week. Long live the armed
fight for the Jews of France!"
The term "Thrror Neged
'terror," or TNT, began ap-
pearing in Israel in January
1984 following grenade at-
tacks against mosques and
Arab houses.
The French leaflet was sent
to the editorial offices of Le
Quotidien, which has received
other alleged terrorist warn-
ings from the French right. A
group calling itself the
French Liberation Front also
sent a letter to the paper ac-
cusing the French govern-
ment of laxity in the face of
recent bombings and aborted
bombings which have racked
France in the last few months,
most heavily within the past
week.
The French authorities
have been working overtime
to try to identify or find the
various parties, both right
and left, that have caught the
country between terrorist
pincers and left several dead
and more wounded.
French Foreign Minister
Jean-Bernard Raimon de-
clared that "European co-
operation against terrorism
must be systematically pur-
sued," in an interview with
the daily newspaper Le
Monde. Asked by reporters if
the attacks in Karachi and
Istanbul, coming after so
many others, have left dem-
ocracies relatively unarmed in
the face of terrorist defiance,
Raimond replied that "the
tragic attacks call for the
most vigorous condemnation
and show once more that to-
day's world must face up to
the heightened terrorism,
every day more worrisome,
that does not hesitate to have
recourse to every means."

You're probably
getting a lot
of advice
these days.

Here's some
that will last you
a lifetime.

The Association for
Retarded Citizens wants
to make sure that if you
plan to have children,
they turn out to be
happy, healthy children.
So we suggest you
follow four basic rules
before you conceive a
child:
1. Follow habits of
proper nutrition.
2. Avoid alcohol and
tobacco.
3. Beware of too much
exposure to X-rays.
4. Ask your doctor
about genetic
counseling if mental
retardation of
unknown cause has
occurred in your
families.
For more good advice,
call or write your local
unit of ARC, the
Association for Retarded
Citizens.
