dress the first open meeting
of the season of the Zedakah
Club at noon Sept. 29 in the
Sutton Place Apts. club
house, announces Carol Cos-
key, program chairman.
In existence for more than
60 years, Zedakah Club serv-
ices the indigent, the elderly,
mental patients, half-way
house residents and nursing
home patients.
The club channels funds,
food and clothing to the
needy and monies to commu-
nity agencies. It works with
the Jewish Family Service by
clearing all its cases with
that agency. Case supervisors
are Nettie. Deutch and Janice
Katzman.

Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will hold its open-
ing meeting on Thursday at
Temple Beth El. There will
be two sessions, one at 12:30
p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Dr.
Carlos G. Rizowy, whose sub-
ject will be "Terrorism: How
It Effects Israel and the
World."
The son of Holocaust sur-
vivors, Dr. Rizowy lectures
extensively throughout the
United States, South America
and Europe on legal and
political issues, including the
legal and-political aspects of
terrorism, the Middle East
and World Jewry. He is a na-
tive of Uruguay.
Coffee and cake will be
served for which there is a
nominal charge. There is no
charge to new members.
Babysitting and transporta-
tion are available upon re-
quest. Call Hadassah office
