Nathan Soberman Tam-O-Shanter Country Club member Nathan Sober- man of West Bloomfield will be honored by fellow club members at a State of Israel Bond Dinner to be held Oct. 11 at the club, it was an- nounced by club President Dr. Edwin Schneider. The club, which holds an- nual tribute dinners on be- half of Israel's economic de- velopment program, is Michi- gan's only recipient of the prestigious National Israel Bond Country Club Award, presented "in appreciation for outstanding service to Israel." The 1986 honoree, a native Detroiter, is a graduate of Central High School and Wayne State University, where he majored in account- ing and business administra- tion. Soberman served in the U.S. Army, with duties both here in the States and in the South Pacific, for more than 31/2 years. Soberman has been a member of Tam-O-Shanter for 25 years and has been actively involved in the club's many social and communal activities. He is also a member of Cong. B'nai David, Cong. B'nai Yehudah and Cong.. Shaarey Zedek and is a contributor to the Lubavitch Organization, Yeshivath Beth Yehudah and Hillel Day School, among others.
