Grandma Shearer's • a . . • •10 Charles S. Wolfe, executive vice president of the Jewish Home for Aged, has resigned his position effective Oct. 11. Wolfe has taken the position of executive director of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation of Greater Miami, Fla. Wolfe has been with the Home since 1970, and became the chief executive officer in 1975. He currently is a com- missioner on aging for the State of Michigan, vice president of the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Met- ropolitan Detroit, and is president of the North American Association of Jewish Homes and Housing for the Aged. Wolfe's new position will be to direct the fund-raising ef- fort of Mount Sinai Medical Center, a 730-bed acute care hospital. It was simultaneously an- nounced by Paul Borman, president of the Jewish Home for Aged, that Alan S. Funk, currently the associate direc- tor of the Home, will become executive director on Oct. 1. In his Washington post, which he has held since 1980, Pearl serves as the liaison between the AJCongress and the White House, the U.S. Congress, federal agencies, embassies, and the many religious, civil rights, and human relations organiza- tions based in the nation's Capital. Before his tenure with the AJCongress, Pearl practiced law in Atlanta, Ga.; directed the college education depart- ment of the Union of Ameri- can Hebrew Congregations in New York; and served as the assistant director of the west- ern region of the American Jewish Committee in Los Angeles. Gerald A. Cook, president of the American Jewish Congress/Metro Detroit Chapter, and Fred L. Golden- berg, chairman of the Jewish Community Council's com- munity relations committee, will host Pearl's Detroit area appearance. Interfaith Forum Due Wednesday "Respect and Reconciliation Among the Abrahamic Reli- gions," an all-day interfaith leadership forum, will feature Rabbi Marc Tanenbaum, di- rector of international rela- tions of the American Jewish Committee. The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the University of Detroit. Muslim and Christian major speakers will partici- pate 'under the auspices of the Greater Detroit Interfaith Round Table of the National Council of Christians and Jews.
