YAD To Begin Brunch Series Holocaust authority Dr. Yaffa Eliach will be guest of the Jewish Welfare Federa- tion's Young Adult Division, at the first in a series of in- formative meetings. called "Sunday Brunch with YAD." Set for Sunday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m., the group will meet at the Sigmund and Sophie Rohlik Building of the United Hebrew Schools in Southfield. A Holocaust survivor, Dr. Eliach is an historian, playw- right and expert on Hasidic Jewry. She is currently a scholar-in-residence at the Midrasha — College of Jewish Studies in Southfield. Dr. Eliach, author of Hasidic Tales of the Holocaust, is a professor of history and literature in the Department of Judaic Studies at Brooklyn College, where she received her M.A. degree. She received her Ph.D. de- gree from the City University of New York. At Sunday's meeting, Dr. Eliach will share her per- sonal account of the libera- tion of the concentration camps.
