l rom the top of your
head to the tips of your
toes, you're going to
have a terrific time this
fall with accessories. Colors,
fabrics, and textures — all look to
be particularly exciting.
Expect to see a bit more
elegance this season than last,
say area fashion experts. While
clothing will be mostly in the
classic neutrals, the accessory
palette will range from black and
woodsmoke grey, to crown jewel
colors, and pale blonde. Also,
look for splashes of glitter and
gleam, worn even at high noon,
and with casual fabrics as denim.
Three important accessories
this season are hoop earrings,
big bangle bracelets, and an
alligator belt worn at the waist.
These exciting accents make any
outfit say fall '86.
A western influence is
predominant this fall evident in
the worked leathers, fringing,
moccasins, boots, and
scaled-down, fanciful felt
versions of the cowboy hat. Some
hats are in highly-dramatic colors
like plum purple.
"Hats are selling very well,"
says Anne Frank, buyer at Roz
and Sherm in Bloomfield Plaza.
