252-323,

When was the last time you
took a bath? Don't be shocked.
Research shows that six out of
10 women sixteen and over
choose the invigorating and
refreshing shower as their
preferred method of cleansing.
Indeed, fewer than four out
of 10 women take baths today,
while in days of yore, most
people didn't bathe at all. You
can imagine how far we've pro-
gressed when you realize that
in early Egyptian times, the
luxurious shower we enjoy to-
day once consisted merely of
water poured from a vase over
a bather!
But, this is the 1980s and to-
day "shower power" provides
the energizing lift that gets the
day off to a bright beginning.
"If I didn't take a shower every
morning to wake me up," says
one young lady, "I'd have to
crawl to work and have some-
one prop my head up to keep
me vertical."
But, there's more to do in
the shower than just stand
there and let the water fall on
you. Waking up is only one of
the benefits.
If you're in a rush—and who
isn't in the morning—you can
cleanse, scent, moisturize and
tone up your skin all at once.
Try an Energizing Shower Gel.
To tone your skin while you
cleanse, try these suggestions:
Enter the shower slowly, and
allow the body to get used to
the temperature.
Gently patting or lightly slap-
ping the body increases the
blood circulation and nourishes
the skin while maintaining the
nerve and muscle tone.
Remember, though, that
showers are not limited to
morning only. After a strenuous
game of tennis, or a five-mile
jog, there is nothing quite as
refreshing, or even as
therapeutic as a warm shower.
