Shoes for Tots and Teens in La Mirage, predicts that the high-top, soft leather gym shoe will continue to be the most popular way to finish off this layered look. Don't underestimate the sophisticated baby. Fleece is in for babies, too. Loretta Globerson, owner of Baby and Me in Southfield, explains, "Our babies become little people right away because today's new mothers want to dress their babies right from the beginning." At the Waiting Game in Applegate, owners, Bob and Thelma Prussack, also show a lot of fleece. Sequined bear faces surrounded by fur, velour and satin Superman emblems and yellow leather cowboy fringe, adorn some of their special sweats. For infant and toddler girls, there are low waisted, fleece dresses with appliques and flare skirts. For toddlers, this will be the season for Mickey Mouse and his friends. Both Waiting Game and We're For Kids are having a tough time keeping in stock enough quilted, red and white striped, two-piece reversible Mickey Mouse outfits. Just as popular are the Disney suspenders, large leather cutouts of Disney characters on red, navy and gold suspenders. Suspenders could become this season's biggest surprise. Buy them separately or as part of an outfit. Just be sure they look exciting. Waiting Game succeeds with this outfit: olive green pants, raspberry and olive green plaid, flannel shirt and peacock blue suspenders. Kids will love the colors. Dress up the kids for the fall holidays. Loretta Lorion, of Loretta Lorion in Bloomfield Plaza, is outfitting toddler boys in clothes with a European flair. "It's no longer the look of the traditional jacket, white shirt and tie." Lorion suggests pleated pants or trousers with a long jacket.
