regional director of
Hashachar-Young Judaea for
the state of Michigan.
Hashachar is a peer-led in-
dependent Zionist youth
movement for American
Jewish youth, sponsored and
supported by Hadassah.
Young Judaea here in
Michigan operates many
clubs for students between
third grade and the end of
high school. Besides club
meetings Young Judaea
sponsors conventions, camps,
Israel programs and educa-
tional activities.

Funny Girl at 2 p.m. Sept. 14
at the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center, according to pro-
gram supervisor Denise M.
Cohen.
A petite brunch for this

• Grade) class and their par-
ents will take place following
Shabbat services on Saturday
at 12:15 p.m. in the temple
youth room. After brunch,
the students will discuss this
year's confirmation pilgrim-
• ' age, retreat and social events.
Advance reservations for
Funny Girl are required. Tic-
kets include transportation to
and from the temple. Buses
will leave at 1:20 p.m. and
will return at about 4:40 p.m.
