Zaremba and folk singer
Irina Fogelson in concert, 2
p.m., Sept. • 21, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue, 29901
Middlebelt, Farmington Hills.
Meyer Zaremba is on his
second successful career.
While still a public school
principal, he pursued his
major interest, research into
Jewish humor and song. In
his current career, he pre-
sents programs that mirror
the Jewish experience
through humor and song.
Zaremba holds degrees and
certification from CCNY,
New York University of
Chicago. His presentation is
entitled "Mama Loshen:
Humor in the Yiddish Lan-
guage."
Irina Fogelson, a native of
Leningrad, arrived in the
United States in 1980. She
has distinguished herself as a
singer of folk and popular
music. She sings in Yiddish,
Hebrew, Russian, English,
Italian and Gypsy.
Ms. Fogleson is a graduate
of the Musical College in
Leningrad and the Leningrad
State Conservatory. For two
years after graduation, she
attended the Special Music
and Show School in'that city.
She has performed in 72 con-
certs around the United
States
The concert is free of
charge and open to the pub-
lic. Tickets are available at
