membership brunch on Sept.
15 at 11 a.m. in the Morris
Adler Hall of the synagogue.
The guest speaker will be
Ronna Romney, Republican
National Committewoman for
Michigan, writer and lec-
turer. Her topic will be "Re-
fuse to Choose."
Mrs. Romney was named
1986 co-chairman of Vice
President Bush's Fund for
America's Future in Michi-
gan and placed in charge of
all fund raising for the fund
in Michigan. Mrs. Romney's
new book, Women in Politics,
will be out in the fall 1987.
Sisterhood President is
Helene Cherrin. Sandy
Schwartz is program vice
president. Arleen Karbal and
Sandee Wittenberg are social
vice presidents in charge of
the brunch. Anita Millman is
vice president of membership.
The program is complimen-
tary to all paid-up members.
Admission for guests is nom-
inal. There will also be a
mini-boutique. Babysitting
will be available upon re-

Young Israel of Greenfield
invites the ladies of the
community to a "Fashion
Framework," an evening With
friends, food and fashions, on
Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the
Young Israel of Greenfield. A
dairy supper will be served.
Featured will be Anne
Dodick who will show a col-
lection of the newest fall
hats, scarves and gloves;
Leah Luger, with a display of
custom beaded jewelry, hand-
bags and sunglasses.
Program coordinators are
Joan Levi and Ruth Levi.

The Cooperative Council of
the League of Jewish Women
will meet on the first Thurs-
day of each month at the
Jewish War Veterans Memo-
rial Home at 9:30 a.m. The
Cooperative Council is
chaired by Irene Rodman,
vice president of the league.
The Council is comprised of
ten service organizations
with each group functioning
on its own. However each
case is checked with the
clearance chairman of the
council, Mary Bookstein.
A Chanukah party for the
Jewish retarded will be held
on Nov. 20.
The overall chairman for
the Chanukah party is Nettie
Deutch. The luncheon chair-
man is Frances Brown and
the gifts chairmen are Deena
Fishman and Delores
Greenspan.

Health Seminar
Planned In Florida

The seventh annual Florida
Health Seminar will be held
from Dec. 20-29 at the
Palm-Aire Country Club
Hotel and Spa, in Pompano
Beach, Fla.
Speakers include Detroiters
Dr. George Dean, Dr. Arnold
Golnick and Dr. Sheldon
Goldstein. Among the topics
to be discussed are: food al-
lergies, podiatry, new tax
laws, endodontics, bonding,
peptic ulcer disease, estate
planning and TMJ radiology.
Continuing education cre-
dits (ten hours) have been
authorized by the following:
AMA, AFP, AAO, AGD.
A cocktail party for par-
ticipants and spouses, and
continental breakfasts are in-
cluded in the registration fee.
